Human Trafficking Awareness Poster

For this assignment, I designed a poster addressing the issue of human trafficking. Working within the constraint of using only one primary colour, I chose red to reflect urgency, danger, and the human cost behind the issue.

A key component of the project was to create a custom typography. I developed a type style inspired by barcode patterns, symbolising the dehumanising way people are treated as commodities. The message, “People Are Not for Sale,” is integrated directly into the barcode-like type to emphasise how modern trafficking often hides in plain sight.

The final design combines bold minimalism with conceptual typography to provoke attention and encourage viewers to question how society labels, values, or overlooks individuals affected by trafficking.
